
The Electricity Training Program is designed to make the student employable in the vast network of jobs in the electrical trades. Students will be taught basic electricity, residential wiring, commercial wiring, and trouble diagnosis and repair procedures.
ElectricityTraining students will also learn:
- Electrical and mechanical tools of the trade for installation and troubleshooting
- Blueprint reading
- Interpretation of electrical symbols.
Electrical Training Program content includes building and wiring codes including the National Electrical code, splicing and connecting wires, installation of conduit, and safe working practices. Emphasis is placed on skill development and much of the program is project based.
Completion Time:
The standard length of this program is 1200 hours (approximately 12 months)
Industry Certification & State Credential Exams:
Completing students will be eligible to take the following: NCCER Certification, OSHA 10 Hour, and State of Florida Ready to Work.
Special Note:
With additional successful testing, the completion of this program may be used as a substitute for the first year of an Apprenticeship Program.
